SoFi ($SOFI)
• CEO Anthony Noto graduated from West Point and was COO of Twitter. He is one of the most excellent CEOs in business today. He is probably in the top 5: Elon Musk, Alex Karp, Jensen Huang, Anthony Noto, Tim Cook.
• SoFi serves the up-and-coming professional millennial. The company cosiders these people underserved by traditional banking services. Most customers have a 740+ credit rating.
• SoFi's strategy is to aquire customers by way of one of their many banking or investment products and serve them well. Over time they aim to offer more products to their customers which will increase each customer's Lifetime Value (LTV).
• SoFi is consistently improving on almost every metric measurable.
• SoFi is headed toward being a top 10 bank in the U.S. SoFi is currently the 78th largest bankby market cap.
• SoFi bought Galileo, a software ecosystem that empowers legacy banks to become digital. Think of Galileo as Amazon's AWS for banking.
• As of February 2022, SoFi is a chartered bank.
• Sofi was expected to be profitable by 2026 or 2027. SoFi is profitable as of 2023 Q4, years ahead of schedule.
• $SOFI is heavily shorted, over 17% of float.
• $SOFI is not held by many institutions. As the company performs better, more institutions will buy causing the shorts to cover and the stock price to rise dramatically.
• SoFi has over $3B on the balance sheet. Debt of over $5B seems manageable.
